PRSA-Westchester/Fairfield Workshop March 29
The Westchester/Fairfield chapter of the PRSA is hosting a professional development workshop, “Start and Build Your Own PR/Marketing Communications Practice,” March 29 at The Castle at Manhattanville College, 2900 Purchase St., in Purchase, N.Y.
Panelists, who will share first-hand insight on how to create and expand a public relations or marketing communications firm, include:
· Meryl Moss, founder, Meryl L. Moss Media Relations
· Peter Schelfhaudt, chief executive officer, Creative Partners
· Don Levin, president, Levin Public Relations & Marketing
Tom Mariam, president of Mariam Communications LLC, will moderate the discussion.
Topics will include what crucial steps to take in the first 18 months in business; how to garner new clients while keeping current clients happy ” and still have time to sleep; whether to specialize or cover the waterfront; how to build a practice to be sold or merged (and what can’t be sold); how to make every client a referral source; 11 mistakes to avoid; and other subjects based on audience questions.
