What is Blog Matrix Pro?

Blog Matrix Pro is a script for rapidly installing, building, growing and maintaining an army of WordPress Blogs from just one very simple installation. 

How Does It Work?

To explain how Blog Matrix Pro works you need a slight insight into how Wordpress itself works.  Wordpress is much more than a blogging tool.  It is a full blown content management system (CMS).  Like all CMS, Wordpress separates content from layout. 

In simple terms that simply means that all content - pictures, posts, pages, links, comments, categories, etc are held in a database.  The layout is captured in templates and style sheets.  When you point your web browser at a Wordpress blog the content you see is assembled on the fly.  Wordpress goes off and looks into the database and retrieves the content.  It then looks at the templates and style sheets which say where and how the content should be displayed.  By recombining the content and layout WordPress presents the pages to you in real time.

That's why it is so easy to modify the look and feel of Wordpress - you never have to worry about the content and just changing the templates can give you a radically different look and feel.

Blog Matrix Pro adds a further level to the database which allows it to store all the information for multiple blogs, including layouts, plug ins and content in one place.  In essence Blog Matrix Pro creates multiple, independent copies of Wordpress all installed on a single domain or sub-domain.  Effectively, you now point your browser to a page within your domain which calls up the appropriate wordpress blog.

Sorry if that has confused anyone - it is all quite simple in practice.  And it means that you can install hundreds of Wordpress blogs on a single domain.

From the look and feel these should look very much the same.  The difference is that the latter 2 are on the same domain, both use the same installation of Wordpress and took moments to set up and configure.

What it Means for You.

It has been proven time and again that the search engines love regularly updated blogs.  Blogs routinely get indexed and spidered more quickly and more often than any other sort of web sites.

So creating Wordpress Blogs is a great way of building your virtual real estate. 

But it doesn't stop there.  Blogs are a great way of providing high value, one way links to help improve the search engine position of your other web sites.  Being able to create hundreds of blogs to link to your real money sites is a well known, if slightly black hat, search engine optimisation technique.

Blog Building

Being able to create masses of blogs very quickly is pretty useless on its own. A blog without content is just a waste of the bytes it consumes.  To build your blogs on autopilot Blog Matrix Pro includes a pretty reasonable RSS to Blog tool.  You can't do much in the way of formatting the posts but that isn't really that important. 

To make the best use of this feature you will need to have access to Cron on your hosting server.  If you have a cpanel you will almost certainly have access to cron. Setting up the cron is simple but if you do run into difficulties JP Schoeffel, the owner of Blog Matrix Pro, will install the whole system for you.

The downside of this approach is that you can rapidly create hundreds of Wordpress blogs that have nothing but scraped rubbish for content.  While I like Blog Matrix Pro there is no doubt that it is a tool that can be easily abused.  And let's face it, there are already too many spam blogs (splogs) on the internet.

My own plan is to create meaningful content on 2 or 3 static pages - probably with affiliate links (as with Referral Marketing - Instant Referrals).

For 50% of the blogs I create I will make one of these content pages the home page.  For the rest I will leave the posts as the home.  I will use RSS 2 Blog to create the posts to provide dynamic content for the search engines.  In 6 months time I will see what the results have been like.

Blog Maintenance

If you are going to create tens or thousands of blogs you are going to need some way to look after them all.  WPMI provides a handy dashboard where you can modify manage all your blogs.  The screenshot below shows what it looks like.

The options here are pretty self explanatory and will be familiar to any WordPress User apart from the RSS to Blog feature.  I will deal with this on a separate page.

Does it Work?

Yes - Blog Matrix Pro certainly does work.  You can create tens of blogs per hour. Many of my blogs have gained google PR so they are good linking sources.

Now tens of blogs per hour may not sound too good when compared to some of the competition like Michell Timothy's RSS to Blog Mass Installer but you are only paying a fraction of the price too. 

I plan to use Blog Matrix Pro to create no more than 100 blogs to a domain.  Each and every blog will have some unique content and probably affiliate links.  I simply couldn't do that for thousands of blogs.

So, for my money, Blog Matrix Pro is a worthy competitor to RSS to Blog and simply cannot be beaten at the price - $97 at the time of writing.

JP Schoeffel has big plans for Blog Matrix Pro.  He only recently took over Blog Matrix Pro from Bruce Hughbanks and there are already immense changes to the marketing and promotion tools.  Changes to the functionality are also in the works but so are increases in price.  Get Blog Matrix Pro now and you will receive updates as they come out.
